I'm packing for a three-day trip to Paris right now. I'm going there with my mom as a gift because of my final exams. I don't know if I passed them, but let's hope for the best.
A few months ago I was doubting whether I wanted to go to Copenhagen or to Stockholm, but eventually we booked a hotel in Paris. I still really want to go to Scandinavia once, but for now, Paris is just more accessible.

I think the only leopard printed pieces I'd wear are shoes. Well, these Brian Atwood loafers are pretty cool, and probably very comfortable! I think these loafers can bring any casual outfit to a chic level, so I'd combine them with some old ripped jeans and a loose white blouse.
They also come in neon patent colors, but I don't know if that's my cup of tea.

The first time I saw these pictures of the in Stockholm based appartment of my ultimate style icon Elin Kling, I fell in love. The main thing I like about her appartment are the colors. White and neutrals have always been my favorites when it comes to houses. Everything looks so clean, fresh and light.
Even though you see these kind of interiors a lot these days, I think Elin and her boyfriend made everything very personal and I believe that that is the key to a comfortable home.

Bought some new stuff. First: two gorgeous see-trough tanks from Zara. One in white and one in vivid orange. The material is very soft and the fit is perfect. Thought they would look good with a simple lace black bra underneath, which I found at H&M.

Second, I bought a pair of black leather ankeboots from Sacha. I wanted a pair of simple boots for a long time now, and the Acne Pistol boots had my preference, and even though the Acne ones are a bit prettier, I think these are a good alternative. The leather looks really good and the zippers are nice as well.

Underneath my new shoes the magazines I'm currently reading: Elle NL Stijlbijbel, Elle NL, Vogue UK, Linda Mode and Avantgarde.

This evening I'm going on a ski trip with school, and I won't be able to blog for a week. Sorry!
We're going to Neukirchen in Austria and it's going to be my very first time on ski's so I'm very excited, but kinda nervous too. Luckily it's going to be a sunny week, at least, that's what 'weather app' told me.

We're only allowed to pack one soft-case weekend bag and one little handbag and my whole (not so little) handbag is allready stuffed with just food. A girl gotta eat, right? The first thing I thought of when I saw this bag was: Jil Sander ss 11, because of the market acetate bag from that collection. The Jil Sander one might be a bit prettier, but the Fashion Against Aids ones attractes me more because 25% of the sales will be donated to youth HIV/AIDS projects around the world. I really appreciate it that such a big company does things for charity. Thumbs up for H&M!

The bags from H&M ($9.95) come in transparent and jellow and the whole collection will be launced 26th April.

ACNE FALL 11

This Acne fall/winter collection 2011 is one of my favorites. I'm really amazed by the mix of materials like leather, silk, denim and wool. The bright blue, mustard jellow and the olive green are perfectly combined with pastels and blacks. Still, the collection is very minimalistic, which I love.

My fave's: The blue see-through dress and the metallic top. And I wouldn't say no to the knitwear either.

The first time I saw this clutch in it's camel version, I went in and out the American Apparel store real quick and saw it later on Columbine in black. I found it, in that color, even prettier.

You can put all your junk in this big pretty friend and carry it everywhere, but you can also flip it in half so you have a rather small, chic, party-ish clutch. Though i'd prefer it big and chunky. Love the rough leather, the golden/white zipper and, of course, the size. Think this'll be my birthday gift to myself.

Asos Black dress. Really like this one because of the open back detail and the exaggerated hips. I consider wearing this, but it's on sale now and I definitly didn't made my decision yet. This dress makes me think of one ADR once worn.

My favorite Jil Sander dress and skirt. Don't think I would wear this but it's definitly an inspiration for me.

Searching for the perfect prom dress. My prom is in June so I'd better hurry, since I'm always afraid that if I'd buy something special, I'll find something much better later, so I don't really dare to make a decision about the dress soon.

I'm thinking about a minimalistic white dress or something inspired by the Jil Sander spring/summer '11 collection with a very bright color. I think I'll add a simple chunky bracelet like this one. (If they still have them in the H&M trend department, please let me know, I want it so bad.)

This water bottle by Bobble isn't only stylish, it is also very inventive: The colored thingy is a filter that purifies tap water from chlorine and other unpleasant impurities. The bottle is recyclable and can be used a thousand times. The filter can also be purchased separately and can be used 300 times.

Bobble's quote is: "Make water better. Look good while doing good." I really like the video that goes with this idea. I watched it over and over again and saw different things every single time. The main thing I like about it is that everybody is happy! I also like that there are so many fashion people in the video like Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld, Grace Coddington, ADR, the beautiful Hanneli Mustaparta and all the models off-duty. I really wish i could go back to New York now and attend fashion shows and enjoy the atmosphere of this amazing city, and, of course, take my Bobble bottle with me!

Every time I visit the sartorialist online or when open his book, I get inspired by the photo's, and since I found this video, I admire him even more.

I like to see how he observes people on the streets and how he approaches them. He makes people who I'd probably walk by special.

On the picture above is the woman who's also in the video. I really like what she says about the fact that she loves Scott Shuman's blog but just didn't knew who the man behind the camera was. I think that's the case with a lot of people who do love the sartorialist, but just don't have a clue about the appearance of this rather small but yet very influential man.

ELIN KLING x H&M

Swedish most stylish and most gorgeous fashion blogger Elin Kling announced that she is the first blogger that collaborated with H&M. The clothing line will launch on February the 3rd and will be sold in 10 different H&M stores in Sweden. 10& of the sales will be donated to unicef, which I think is great.

The pictures are beautiful, she looks great and I wouldn't mind to somehow get my hands on that very pretty dress. It would be an honor to wear something she designed, because she is a real style icon for me. Congratulations to Elin!

2. Olympus Pen E-PL1 camera. I really like it's vintage look, though I've heard it's a very good camera. Vintage camera's have always attracted me, but I think it's kind of useless when you have one that doesn't work anymore. It's nice as decoration, but still. This one is a beauty and it works great. Two in one ;)

3. Acne amon blouse. I was looking for this blouse for a very long time, but I never knew that it was from Acne, until I saw it on modedamour. The open shoulders are very pretty, especially when you're tanned a bit. I would wear this blouse with vintage cut-off shorts and simple sandels or I'd style it up with leather pants and a pair of simple black heels.

4. Balenciaga ankle booties. When I saw their a/w 2010 show I immediatly craved for all of the shoes from the collection. They're so futuristic and different from all the other footwear I've seen in my life. I also really like them because they're made of all kinds of materials like wood, leather and plastic.

The booties will be really taken advantage of when you wear them with an all-white outfit, but that's the story with almost every statement piece.

STOCKHOLM OR COPENHAGEN?

If I pass my final exams in May, my mother and I are going on a trip and I can choose where we're going.

The last few month Scandinavia really attracts me, especially because of their fashion. I'm doubting whether I want to go to Copenhagen or to Stockholm.

Since Lykke Li and ACNE, one of my favorite singers and one of my favorite brands, both come from Sweden, I'm tending to go for Stockholm. But I'm not sure yet...

When you have any suggestions or hotspots where I definitly should go to when I'll go to either of them, please let me know! It'll be great to know some of these cute little places which are not so touristy.

INSPIRATION & WISHLIST // WINTER '10

Even though it's -10 ° C in Holland for almost a month now, I believe I still don't have my winter wardrobe complete: I'm still craving for some fake fur, long wool cardi's, coats and jumpers and lots of shearling. But above all: the Céline luggage bag. When I saw this version with the shearling front, I couldn't think of any bag more perfect for these cold winterdays.

Problem: I have no clue how to pay for all those desires, because I have an upcoming ski trip I have to save money for. However, having fun with friends or family in snow can never compete with all the clothing of the whole wide world.

Bag from Celine and bracelet from Aurélie Bidermann.

The type of gold of the bracelet looks pretty much the same as the color of the button on the bag, it almost looks like they're made for each other. The design of both pieces are very simple yet chic. Just like my style and just how I like jewelry to be.

I really like the 'roughness' of the bracelet, I wonder how heavy it is.

DOLCE&GABBANA CAMPAIGN SS 2011

First pics of the Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer campaign, shot by Steven Klein. Really like Alessandra Ambrosio and Izabel Goulart. They represent the brand so well! They breathe luxury and self-confidence.

When I was in Milan a some years ago and went to the D&G shop, I bought a pair of flipflops for summer. I never really wore them because I was so afraid that if I did, I might make a scratch on them...

I remember I felt so chic when I walked out the store with my special summer edition bag with the pieces of rubber in it.

Now, they don't even fit me anymore and I really regret for not wearing them. (I still have them though, so if you're interested?:p)

TIE-DYE & SQUARES

One of my favorite shots during Paris fashion week by Tommy Ton.

I think it's very cool how she tie-dyed her socks, quite brilliant, and very easy actually. I tie-dyed some tee's once, and it's very fun to do and the results are always very surprising. I am defintitly going to try this out with socks in summer, when I can wear open shoes again.

I also like really her square-heeled Nicholas Kirkwood for Peter Pilotto shoes. I assume that those weren't a DIY project...

THE SCENT OF ANNA DELLO RUSSO

The past few years it has been common that celebritys came with their own perfume. Now, my number one style icon launched hers too.

Anna Dello Russo insisted that the scent had to be as delicate and glassy as christmas ornaments, and as unique as a golden shoe.

The bottle is handmade and, as you can see on the picture, shaped in the form of a golden shoe with a cute bow.

The perfume is available on yoox.com from the 3rd of December. I wonder how quick it'll be sold out...

Acne Hydro suede wedges. Everybody had probably allready seen the Hybria Lea wedges, but now Acne came with a different pair, which the wedge is made of cork. Pretty cool.

SHOPPING // ACNE PAPER

I bought this Acne Paper in the Acne shop in Amsterdam last Sunday. It's about parties from the 16th century till now, with beautiful pictures and a lot of interesting things to read.

I was really surprised when I saw a picture and some text about Alexander Wang, who is one of my favourite designers.

The whole magazine isn't specifically about the brand, but just created by the producers of Acne, and everything that's part of it.

The papers are available in five issues with each another subject: 'celebration', 'tradition', 'exoticism', 'elegance' and 'education'. You can order them here.
